Installation Overview

1. Base Setup: Install your standard shower drain base (sold separately) and connect it to the waste line.
2. Waterproofing: Apply your PVC or CPE pan liner over the drain base as per local plumbing codes.
3. Connection: Screw the Oatey Vivante threaded adapter into the drain base. The O-ring provides a secondary seal against leaks.
4. Height Adjustment: Adjust the drain body height to be flush with the anticipated thickness of your tile and mortar bed.
5. Final Tile: Tile around the drain body. If using the tile-in insert, cut a matching 4x4 square of your floor tile and bond it inside the grate.
6. Maintenance: Use the included lifting key to easily remove the grate for monthly cleaning of the debris basket.
