Professional Installation Guide

Recommended steps for a successful replacement:

1. Safety Prep: Park on level ground and chock the front wheels. Disconnect the battery for safety.
2. Lift and Support: Jack up the rear of the cart and secure it with heavy-duty jack stands under the frame.
3. Wheel Removal: Use a lug wrench to remove the rear driver-side wheel.
4. Brake Hub Access: Remove the castle nut, cotter pin, and brake drum/hub assembly. Inspect your bearings and seals for wear while the axle is exposed.
5. Extracting the Axle: Remove the retaining C-clip (if applicable) and slide the old axle shaft out. Use an axle puller or slide hammer if the shaft is seized.
6. Installing the New Shaft: Thoroughly grease the splines of the new 24.5" Axle and slide it into the differential until you feel the gears engage.
7. Reassembly: Reinstall the retaining clip, hub, and brake components. Torque the axle nut to the manufacturer’s recommended foot-pounds and install a new cotter pin.
8. Test Drive: Lower the cart and perform a slow test drive to ensure quiet operation and smooth acceleration.
