Quick Setup & Composting Tips

1. Prepare the Bedding: Soak the included coconut coir brick in water until it fully expands, wring out excess moisture (it should feel like a damp sponge), and place it into the bottom-most working tray.
2. Introduce Your Worms: Add your composting worms (Red Wigglers are highly recommended) to the bedding and let them acclimate for a day.
3. Feeding Schedule: Begin adding finely chopped kitchen scraps (fruit peels, vegetable ends, coffee grounds). Avoid dairy, meat, citrus, and excessive oils.
4. Stack and Repeat: Once the first tray fills up, place the next tray directly on top and begin feeding there. The worms will naturally move up through the holes.
5. Harvesting Liquid: Keep the bottom faucet closed during normal operation, but drain the liquid "worm tea" once a week to prevent the base from flooding.
